Serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 1997, our full-service hospital offers specialized care, diagnostics and treatment, including internal medicine, surgery, skin care and allergy, oncology, neurology and neurosurgery, cardiology, complementary and integrative medicine, dentistry, behavior, and 24/7 emergency take care of dogs and felines. We're an AAHA-accredited referral hospital.

History

Established in 1997.

Bay Area Veterinary Specialists (SFVS) started in 1997 by local internal medicine veterinary specialist Dr. Alan Stewart, together with veterinary skin doctor Dr. Carlo Vitale and holistic specialist Dr. Cheryl Schwartz. At that time, their lengthy-term goal was to give the very best in Western and Eastern medicine, plus they headed the very first multispecialty veterinary hospital in Bay Area.

Through the years, SFVS increased, adding new specialists, doctors and staff. This Year, SFVS merged with VCA Niche Animal Hospitals. Now referred to as VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists, our doctors and staff are proud to carry on our legacy of excellence in high-quality veterinary care with a lot more, enhanced assets.

Through exceptional service, ongoing innovation, empathy for the clients and patients, and effort, we anticipate serving the San Francisco Bay Area community for years to come.

Satisfy the Manager

Judith Goodman may be the hospital manager of VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists. She's been an element of the San Francisco Bay Area animal welfare and veterinary community since 1998.

Just before joining VCA SFVS at the end of Feb 2011, Judy offered because the administrator for that Community Veterinary Services Department from the Bay Area SPCA in excess of ten years. Before that, she directed client programs at Pets Are Excellent Support (Feet).
